Q: Can I pay via check or money transfer?

A: Yes, just make sure the money is transferred ahead of time and two weeks prior to the program start on our account. For non US / EU wire transfer allow 3 weeks for the banks to process.

Q: Can my company receive an invoice?

A: Absolutely. Just send us your order to the main address in San Francisco or by email to and we will issue an invoice in US$ or Euro depends on your location.

Q: Can we book a class that is specifically for our company?

A: Yes, we offer that option and can even customize content to fit your business strategy and address business specific topics. Please call and let us explore the options.

Q: Why are the classes only in English

A: The social web doesn’t have boundaries and is a global resource for rapid learning and exchange. We highly recommend learning English to make the most out of Social Media.

Q: Is there any financial aid

A: For the Social Media Manager classes we will review a situation and try to help on a case by case basis.

Q: Is S3 Social Media Academy an accredited education institute?

A: No we are not. However we are exploring the value of an accreditation from time to time.

Q: Are there any references we can check?

A: Absolutely. Every S3 alumni (graduated from the strategist class) is listed on our website together with their respective social credentials. Feel free to touch base with any Alumni and ask for their experience with the program.


During the program

Q: Are there any disadvantages if I only participate online and eLearning?

A: Obviously the learning content is the same. The only part you are missing is the class interaction. But you will learn as you participate that the most important interaction is actually after the 2 day class room training.

Q: How much time should I allocate for project work?

A: Each week you will perform specific tasks. On average you should allocate about 10 hours per week for those exercises.

Q: Are there any skills or tools required for the exercises?

A: You must have a solid broadband Internet connection. Tools such as social media monitoring tools will be provided by the Academy. You will need to have Skype as online communication tool. The required skills include proficient with standard Internet browser, search, basic skills to manage profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and others.

Q: If I miss a workshop, what do I actually miss?

A: Each workshop is a key event in the education process. You miss your opportunity to present, discuss, explore and get feedback. If you cannot join a workshop, check with the instructor for a possibility to record it.

Q: If I only attend the training center part, do I still get a certificate?

A: No, you won’t. All certificates testify your actual experience and skills acquisition plus a formal test and the end, that you also understand the concepts.

After I completed

Q: Do I get a physical certificate?

A: Yes, we will send out a PDF version right after the graduation and a physical certificate via regular post within 4 to 8 weeks after the graduation.

Q: Do I have access to eLearning material after I completed the class?

A: Yes, you have access to the videos at least for 12 month after you completed the class

Q: If there are any class updates, as the social media field develops, how much are those updates?

A: You get all updates for free up to 12 month after the class. We currently have no update program after that period.

Q: Can I keep using the online community to keep in touch with class mates

A: Yes, each class community remains open until the last attendee is leaving the group, theoretically remains open forever.
